Do doctors and journalists know if you should get sick in July?

New research shows that the old joke -- "Don't get sick in July!" -- isn't true for most cases. But it may be true for some high risk patients.


....

But don't tell all the reporters and bloggers who love writing stories in July about not getting sick in July.

For example, just this year, on July 3, Doctor Oz wrote "Why July is the worst month to get sick."

And a year ago, on July 14, 2012, the New York Times wrote "Don't get sick in July".

And a year before that, on July 30, 2011....

So what's the deal? Do doctors not follow the evidence?...
